Brief: Han Ji-eun’s house was secretly sold without her acknowledgement to a famous star Lee Young-jae. After realizing it, both of them refused to leave the house, and later on, they live together under some conditions and lead to marriage contract that Lee Young-jae made in order to make the girl he loves jealous. During that contract period, their feeling for each other arises.

I can say this is the first Korean drama I watched and this is the drama that makes me like watching Korean drama & movie up until now 😀

Brief: Go Mi Nam is Go Mi Nyu’s brother who passed the audition to join A*N.JELL band, but he needs to leave to the US for a surgery. So Go Mi Nam’s manager approaches Go Mi Nyu, who is living at a church for her dream is to be a nun, asking her to pose as Mi Nam joining the band during his disappearance. After joining the band, she has a hard time trying to hide her real identity from the band’s members as she has to live with those 3 male members, but later on, 3 of them fall for her.

This drama is also called He is beautiful that refers to beautiful Mi Nyu disguised as a boy.

Love Rain (2012)

Brief: Seo In-ha & Kim Yoon-hee who actually loved each other separated due to some circumstances especially their friends. Later, fate does bring this love line back as their kids, Seo Joon & Jung Ha-na meet each other by chance. Seo Joon is a bossy and arrogant guy, whereas Ha-na is a cheerful girl. They argue and do not get along well with each other, but fall in love finally. When Seo Joon’s dad and Ha-na’s mom find each other and are about to reunite their love, 4 of them just realize the love stories of the 2 generations.

Watch it and you will know how they solve it at last 😀 For SNSD’s fans especially Yoona’s, and handsome Jang Geun-suk, you will love this drama.

Brief: As Tae-joon becomes her encouragement to move on in life based on his quote “Miracle is another name of hard work”, Jae-hee decides to help encourage him after he failed his high jump, and ends up disguising herself as a male student into all-boy school where Tae-joon studies. Her true identity is about to be revealed from time to time, so how will she face?

This drama is the remake of a Japanese drama “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e” which later Taiwanese drama also made a remake as “Hana Kimi”. I also watched the Taiwanese version back then starred by Ella Chen from S.H.E and Wu Chun from Fahrenheit.

Brief: The story is all about the struggles and dilemmas that Korean youth/high-school students in modern day have faced, such as being bullied by gangs, school violence, study and peer pressures, suicide, family problem, teacher-student relation, and other real-life issues. More importantly, friendship does mean deeply between Go Nam-soon and Park Heung-soo in the drama.

To me, it is more meaningful, and the deep friendship of the 2 actors really makes me cry 😀 This drama is highly recommended~

Brief: As an illegitimate son of a rich family and hatred from his half-brother who shares the same father, Kim Tan is sent to live in the US, and accidentally he meets Cha Eun-sang who is looking for her elder sister who ran away from home. At first sight, he is attracted to Eun-sang, but then they depart as she has to go back to Korea. Due to his family issue, he later returns to Korea, and just realizes Eun-sang living in his house too. They both fall in love with each other, but because of family status and many obstacles trying to separate them, so how can they keep their love?

This is the most popular Korean drama in year end of 2013 as the story is about luxurious life, high-class people and high-school students, performed by many famous stars.

You Who Came From The Star (My Love From Another Star) (2013-2014)

Brief: An alien living on earth since Joseon Dynasty till modern era for 400 years due to his UFO broken. 400 years ago, he met a girl whom he could not save her life till the end, and 400 years later, fate brings them to meet together again. But things will not go that easy because there is an evil who is waiting to destroy anyone who interferes his way to success.

During its broadcast, the drama’s rate was so high in Korea, as well as for international fans, because the drama concept is quite new and different from any other dramas. It was another hit after The Heirs, I might say.

Brief: Fai and Jeed always argue with each other as their fathers have had conflict for such a long time. However, both of them do have good heart, and they sometimes secretly care for each other as they are neighbors seeing each other almost everyday. Due to some incidents, they start to open their hearts for each other, and finally fall in love. But Jeed’s father is a stubborn person and never wants to lose Fai’s father, so he strongly refuses Fai and Jeed’s relationship.

This is 1 lakorn in 4 drama series 4 Hua Jai Haeng Khun Khao (4 Hearts of the Mountain), and the theme of the story reminds me of Romeo & Juliet, yet it has happy ending.

Brief: Due to an accident in the sea, Fahlada was floated to an island where Saichon found and helped her. However, she loses her memory and behaves like a kid, so the island villagers let Saichon look after her. He names her Nang Fah. Later on, they fall for each other and get married following the island tradition. But their happiness does not last long, for her sister is looking for her and find that she is in that island, so Nang Fah is brought away. How will they meet again?

This lakorn (drama) is just too cute. Barry and Yaya do act way too sweet together 😀

Darunee thinks Athit’s presence will steal her grandmother’s love for her, so she always fights with him. But with his good heart, they start to have good feeling for each other. However, life there does not always remain in happiness, especially their struggle in farming, and problem after their grandmother is gone.

Raeng Prathana (Heated Desire) (2013)

Brief: SooApa always behaves above Pittaya for she thinks he is just someone her father adopted. But she actually falls for him. Unfortunately, he is far to reach for SooApa because he has a girlfriend who is just perfect for him. SooApa must continue to tolerate with disappointment and hides it by showing her mean attitude towards Pitt. However, as her father gets sick, the only kid he worries the most is SooApa, so he asks Pitt to look after her, and they decide to get married to make her father happy, though both Pitt and SooApa do not really want that. Many problems arise, and some things turn out unexpectedly.

Brief: As the new boss, Qi Yi, appears at GAZE company, he damages the love relationship in the company by enforcing love/dating ban in the company, and those who do not follow must resign. Cheng Liang Liang, as a loud but cheerful and daring girl working at GAZE, decides to make Qi Yi fall in love with her so that he will remove this love ban rule. Coincidentally, Qi Yi is also the one who bought the house where Liang Liang is renting for 6-month contract. Both of them refuse to leave, and decide to temporarily live together under some conditions. They both are completely different and hardly get along well with each other, but with Liang Liang’s optimism and caring, and inner good heart of Qi Yi, they fall in love. Yet, Qi Yi’s dark past returns that tries to spoil their love.
